Originally blue, the rocket company founded by Jeff Bezos of Amazon, will launch the 10th of the New Shepard launch vehicle, with its capsule full of experiments. The launch, which was originally scheduled a month ago but was postponed for various reasons, will take place tomorrow at 6:50 am Pacific time.

New Shepard is a sub-orbital space visit platform, not one that launches satellites. But it uses a very traditional method to reach the edge of space compared to Virgin Galactic which was somewhat involved in the spacecraft combo, which swiped the edge of the space in the fourth test launch last month.

The rocket shot straight up, like a rocket, reached loose speed, then took the capsule from above just before the Karman line which formally, if somewhat arbitrarily, described the space of the Earth's atmosphere. The capsule, after draining upward momentum, gently floats back to the surface below the parachute.

That's the plan for Wednesday's launch, which you can watch directly here starting half an hour before T-0. But instead of taking a dummy doll or "Skywalker Mannequin," as companies call it human during capsule crew testing, mission 10 has a whole collection of experiments on board.

There were nine total trials, all of which flew through NASA Flight Opportunity Program. They are detailed here. Most have gone up in other vehicles or even Blue Origin, but it is clear that repetitions and iterations are important for their development.

"The opportunity to re-fly our cargo helps us not only validate and compare data for different flight profiles, but also test modifications and improvements," said Kathryn Hurlbert of NASA, who heads the Suborbital Flight Experiment Monitor-2 project at Johnson Space Center.
