This streaming music giant confirmed its partnership with T-Series, a major music and film company. T-Series offers more than 160,000 songs in its catalog. The company also has the largest YouTube channel in the world, with more than 80 million customers. The original T-Series video has more than 58 billion times.

Instead, the company will rely on its agreement with India's main copyright holders, including the T-Series. These include commercial Hindi music, Bollywood soundtracks, and regional music in five languages ​​- Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Bengali. This signal was reported, Spotify has made a deal with a local record label that specializes in these languages.

In addition, the company will also hold a launch party on January 31st.

However, Spotify faces intense competition in India against streaming music services with Western catalogs.

Gaana boasts 75 million users in the region and owns 50% of the Indian music market. Music streaming services also recently received $ 115 million in funding from Tencent and Times Internet.

In the $ 1 billion + agreement, Saavn joined JioMusic last June. It also recently launched a combined streaming music service – JioSaavn. Reliance Limited, the parent company of the platform, has pushed for a free 90-day trial to JioSaavn Pro. The integrated streaming music service has a catalog of 45 million songs, along with more than 900+ label partnerships. This includes Sony, Universal, and Warner Music.

Other local players include Google Play, Apple Music, Amazon, Hungama, and Airtel Wynk.

To overcome this latest movement, Spotify is reported to be revealing an extended free trial period in the region. This will also face a tough struggle to turn free users into customers.
