According to information from the Vietnam Trade Office in Turkey, on October 27, the Ministry of Economy of Turkey announced the final conclusion of the investigation, the application of anti-dumping measures against welding wires made of base metals imported from Vietnam (HS code 8311.20.00.00).

Thus, Turkey concluded that the products mentioned above were discharged into the Turkish market and caused major damage to the domestic industry.
At the same time, Turkey decided to impose anti-dumping duties of 21.15% on mandatory responding companies and 29.65% on all other exporters (% on imported CIF prices) from Vietnam. Anti-dumping measures will take effect from the date of issuance of the decision.
On March 6, the Turkish Ministry of Economy began an anti-dumping investigation on welding wire made of base metal imported from Vietnam. Complainant is Gedik Kaynak Industrial and Trading Co. Ltd. and Oerlikon Welding Electrodes and Industry Co., Ltd.
The dumping investigation period is 1/1/2017 – 31/12/2017. The damage investigation period is 1/1/2015 – 31/12/2017.
