Juan Guaido, president of the National Assembly (AN), spoke on Tuesday morning about a series of protests registered on Monday night in popular areas in western Caracas.

"Protests in western Caracas show that there is no talent to jump over," the opposition leader said via his Twitter account.

"Here we are all immersed in the same cage: without light, without water, without drugs, without gas and with an uncertain future. We are all drowned in this crisis, except the usurper," he said, referring to Nicolás Maduro, which is described as illegitimate by various national and international organizations.

Guaido completed his message with the hashtag # Ma├▒anaNosReencontramos, referring to this January 23 call.
