The Real Reason Christian Bale Stopped Playing Batman

Batman has been in more famous films than any other superhero. The most famous Batman films are three directed by Christopher Nolan: Batman starts, The Dark Knight, and The awakening of the dark knight. All three films starred Christian Bale as Caped Crusader. This is why Bale is not in the fourth Batman film.

Trilogy by Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan

Before wearing a robe, Bale was mostly known for his role in films such as disturbing American Psycho and Machinist. His casting as Batman is a bit surprising, but his performance fits in perfectly with the universe that Nolan created in it The Dark Knight trilogy. Fans and critics alike praised the film, feeling it captured the horrifying nature of the Batman Tim Burton films in a more down-to-earth and realistic way.

Many feel that the films in the film The Dark Knight the trilogy is not only some of the best superhero films ever made, but some of the best Hollywood films of all time. The main reason why the films were so famous was Bale's Batman. This is why actors never play superheroes again.

Why did Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan leave the franchise?

The actor discussed the possibility of a fourth film. According to The Times Herald, he said, "When they come [to us after ‘Batman Begins’] and say, "You want to make another?" It was fantastic, but we still said, "Here it is. We won't get another chance. '' Then they come and they say, 'OK, let's do the third one.' Chris always told me that if we were lucky to make three, we would stop. 'Let's go after that.'

He added, "Then when they want to come to us and say," What if No. 4? "I said," No. We must stick to [Nolan’s] dreams, which are always for, hopefully, doing trilogy. Don't stretch too far and become too pampering and go for the fourth. That's why we, well Chris, left. After that I was told that my service was no longer needed. '& # 39;

How the Batman franchise evolved

Nolan's confidence will spoil him to make the fourth Batman movie interesting. So far, Batman has appeared in sixteen official films that were released theatrically as well as two serial films. Beyond that, he has appeared in various television series such as Batman, Gotham, and Be careful of Batman. In addition, his character has been the subject of many direct-to-DVD films. One more Batman movie doesn't sound like it will stretch characters too thin.

Perhaps Nolan felt that he could not exceed his remarks because he had directed more Batman films than anyone else. Before he made his mark on the franchise, only two directors directed more than one Batman film: Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher. Both Burton and Schumacher left the series after directing two films.

Did Nolan make the right decision? Many fans of his work prefer he directs other Batman films. Since leaving the franchise, there have been several films with Batman in the lead role, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, and Batman Lego Films. None of these films reached the critical level recognized by Nolan's films. The world can only imagine what it would be like if Bale played his most famous role once again.
