The Blue Ribbon Pabst seems to continue to live. MillerCoors and Pabst Brewing Co completed a contract lawsuit Wednesday where Pabst claimed the brewing giant threatened to get rid of him from business. Although no provisions were immediately announced, "the parties have solved all the extraordinary problems in this case," a Pabst spokesman said in a statement. The settlement came as a jury on the first full day of the meeting. MillerCoors has produced and shipped most of the Pabst beers since 1999, but claims it cannot continue to do so after their contract expires in 2020. Pabst claims MillerCoors is trying to close competitors, and ignores contract terms that allow two five-year extension of the agreement. MillerCoors is a subsidiary of MolsonCoors Brewing Co.
