Anna Paquin joins Infidelity!
Ex Original breeds the actress, 36, will have a role in the upcoming fifth season of the hit showtime drama, according to Weekly entertainment. Paquin is expected to play the adult version of Joanie Lockhart, daughter of Alison and Cole Lockhart.

In Last season, Joanie will return to Montauk and begin to discover the truth about her late mother (Ruth Wilson), who at the end of the shocking season, dies in the hands of her lover, Ben (Ramón Rodríguez), EW reported.
The upcoming ten episodes of this season will also let the characters explore how "everything is really falling apart in the end, but somewhere in the rubble, the seeds of change finally sprout," according to a press release from Showtime obtained by EW.
Follow the news on Friday, Infidelity creator Sarah Treem expressed her excitement on Twitter.
"To say we are pleased to welcome @AnnaPaquin, it will be a renovation of this century," he tweeted. "Has become a BIG fan of hers as long as I remember. We can't wait to show you all this last season … "
In response, Paquin echoed his pleasant message and recounted that he was looking forward to joining the players. "Very excited to join you all!" tweeted back.
Executive producer of the event Jessica Rhoades also sent a message congratulatory tweet to the actress: "We are very happy and lucky to welcome @AnnaPaquin to @SHO_TheAffair!" he wrote.

News Paquin joined the players coming after it was announced during the summer that Ruth Wilson would not return for the final season of the event. His departure made fans speculate about the real reason why he chose to move.
"It's not about paying parity, and it's not about other jobs," Wilson, 36, said The New York Times in the profile section. "But I'm not really allowed to talk about it."
Although Wilson cannot explain further, he reveals that there is a narrative behind the larger screen that caused his departure. "There is a much bigger story," he added.

During the appearance on CBS this morning, Wilson was asked by co-host Gayle King if he really wanted to leave the show. In response, the actress said, "I want to go but I am not allowed to talk about why."
Although he did not explain further, Wilson actually answered rumors that his departure was caused by disagreement over his income. "I never complained to Showtime about paying parity," he explained.
In a statement for EW, The show responded to Wilson's comments saying, "We can't talk to Ruth, but towards season 4, everyone agrees that the story of the character has gone on by itself."

"In the end, it feels like the strongest creative decision is to end Alison's bow at a time when he finally achieved self-empowerment," the statement continued. "The impact of his defeat will be felt when this series ends next season. We thank many fans who embraced Alison's character and especially thanked Ruth for her indelible work over the past four seasons. "
Also not returning for the fifth season is Joshua Jackson, who plays Cole Lockhart, as well as Catalina Sandino Moreno (Luisa) and Omar Metwally (Vik), according to EW.
Season 5 of Infidelity will premiere on Showtime in 2019.
