HThat's what he said after his second pole position last season.
I am very happy with the pole here today and the car and the engine are working very together. We made some improvements overnight and even after FP3 we made some finishing touches to the car and it really came alive in the qualifications. Directly from Q1 the car flew and even though Q3 was a little more complicated because of rising temperatures, the car still felt good.
Being purple in the middle sector and at the top with more than one tenth here is a strong performance for us and Honda. Usually we have fast racing cars so hopefully tomorrow will be the same and I really enjoy driving on this track. I expect a pleasant race and hopefully become a pleasant race, so now we have to finish tomorrow.
Vettel, meanwhile, is quite confident in his chances in the race, but seems to be worried about tire wear. Ferrari is in much better shape here than in Austin two weeks ago, but whether they can continue through the race remains to be seen.
We repaired the car, it felt better and started living in Quali, I was quite optimistic that we were in good condition to race, but we had to wait and see. It should be warmer and important to take care of your tires and make the right strategy call.
As always, I will be here for the next few hours to take you through all the developments, direct updates and reactions of the Brazilian GP.
