The Cabinet of Ministers is provided for the allocation of UAH 500 million to the Ukrainian Pension Fund for reimbursement of costs of PJSC "Ukrposhta" for the provision of services related to the payment and delivery of pensions and cash assistance to residents.
"The draft 2019 budget sets 500 million UAH for Ukrposhty, for the first time in a decade. This money will be used exclusively to finance postal salaries from the last mile," Infrastructure Minister Vladimir Omelyan said on his Facebook page.
In turn, the general director of Ukrposhty, Igor Smelyansky, noted that he was not ready to comment on the allocation of half of the amount of funds needed by Ukrposht.
As reported, in September I. Smelyansky in an interview with an Interfax-Ukraine agent acknowledged the possibility of stopping retirement if the tariff for this service was not raised. According to him, due to low tariffs, the loss of the company due to the delivery of the number of pensions to UAH 1 billion per year.
