During January-September 2018, Ukraine's foreign trade deficit reached 3.45 billion dollars against 1.1 billion dollars in the same period last year, but not including uncontrolled areas in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, as well as the Crimea and Sevastopol occupied. This is stated in data from the Ukrainian State Statistics Service, UNN report.
According to the ministry, in the first nine months of this year, the country exported goods and services worth $ 41.7 billion, 9.3% more than last year.

At the same time, imports accounted for more than the period determined to be $ 45.16 billion, or 15% more than last year.
As reported by UNN, the foreign trade balance deficit in January-September 2017 amounted to $ 1.2 billion according to a surplus of $ 606.7 million for the same period last year, but excluding temporary areas occupied by Crimea and parts of the ATO area.
