Samsung Exynos 7 Series 7904 processor is designed for middle-class smartphones


Samsung Electronics has announced a new mobile processor – the Exynos 7 Series 7904 product, produced by 14-nanometer technology.

This chip is designed for middle-class smart phones. The solution base consists of eight cores: this is the ARM Cortex-A73 duet with a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz and the ARM Cortex-A53 sextet with a clock frequency of up to 1.6 GHz.

The graphics subsystem uses the Mali-G71 MP2 controller. Supports display with resolutions up to Full HD + (2400 × 1080 pixels). The use of three cameras is permitted, and the front and rear sensor resolutions can reach 32 million pixels.

The Exynos 7 Series 7904 platform provides support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac wireless connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, GPS / GLONASS / BeiDou / Galileo satellite navigation, eMMC 5.1 flash memory and LPDDR4x RAM.

This processor includes a Cat LTE modem. 12 3CA, allows you to download data over a cellular network with speeds of up to 600 Mbps. The data transfer speed towards the base station can reach 150 Mbps.

Mass production of Exynos 7 Series 7904 chips has begun. At the time the first commercial smartphone based on this platform was not reported.
