This was stated by Ukraine's Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelyan on Facebook.

"The Ukrainian port of the Sea of Azov Mariupol and Berdyansk is actually blocked by the Russian Federation for entering and leaving the ship," he said.

There were 18 ships waiting to enter the Azov Sea: four were sent to the port of Berdyansk, 14 – to the port of Mariupol.

At the exit of the Azov Sea to the Black Sea there are three ships from the port of Berdyansk and six from the port of Mariupol. Eight other ships are moored at the port.

"In total, 35 ships were blocked … The actions of Russian parties showed an intentional escalation of the situation in the Azov Sea and the destabilization of the region. The aim was clear – blocking the work of Ukrainian ports in the Azov Sea and gradually removing Ukraine from our jurisdiction, enshrined in international law "- The minister stressed.

As reported by UNIAN, before the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that they saw no threat of reducing the number of ship calls to the Ukrainian sea trade port due to the introduction of martial law.

On November 26, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law agreeing to the president's decision on the implementation of martial law in Ukraine (No. 9338). President Petro Poroshenko said that the introduction of martial law applies exclusively to a number of regions of Ukraine, which are located along the Russian border and the Ukraine-Moldova border Transnistrian segment, along the Black Sea and Azov. According to the president, martial law in 10 regions of Ukraine will be valid until December 26.
