South Korean giant Samsung Electronics announced the release of a series of NVMe-drive 970 EVO Plus, which includes models with a capacity of 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB. The main difference from the 970 EVO released last spring was the use of the 96-layer 3D V-NAND TLC chip and slightly improved performance characteristics.

Samsung 970 EVO Plus

The Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD is made in the popular M.2 2280 form factor, using four PCI Express 3.0 interface lines and is endowed with the support of the NVMe 1.3 protocol. To date, three small modifications are being sent to stores, while the 2-terabyte version will be released in April. Recommended specifications and prices for new products are given in the table below.
