The National Election Committee held its first meeting under the leadership of Abdul Rahman Mohammed Nasser Al Owais, Minister of State for the Federal National Council and Chair of the National Election Committee to discuss the latest developments and preparation and preparation for the upcoming elections.

At the beginning of the meeting, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Nasser Al Owais congratulated the members on their election as members of the National Election Commission, hoping they were successful in their duties and serving their country. The National Election Committee reviews the decision of His Holiness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State of Qatar, to amend some provisions of the Presidential Decree UAE No. 3 of 2006 concerning how to elect UAE representatives in the Federal National Council.
The meeting also included the adoption of the establishment of the National Election Commission's main committee, the mechanism for the formation of electoral bodies, namely the Emirates Committee, Security Committee, Media Committee, Media Committee, Election Management Committee and Smart System Committee discussed.
The NEC also reviewed the timetable proposed for the election, reviewed the most important figures and statistics related to the 2015 FNC election, reviewed the work of the Technical and Technical Committee during the last period, and discussed the subject of the budget from the Committee's duties.
