Competing console game manufacturers Xbox and PlayStation want to collaborate in streaming and AI.
The competing game console manufacturers Xbox and PlayStation have signed a strategic partnership, as reported by Die Presse. "The agreement mainly strengthens the Microsoft Azure cloud business for Internet-based applications, because Sony wants to streamline games and media content," said the online portal.
Microsoft and Sony announced Thursday that the two companies will develop new innovations to improve customer experience for their entertainment platforms and AI solutions.
"Microsoft has been an important business partner for us for years, but of course the two companies also compete in several fields," said Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida. He hopes that the use of the latest ecology from the two companies will "produce complementary ways to create new value for society," Yoshida continued.
