The Public Health England (PHE) health authority did not state more about Britain's death, but it seems the seriousness of the situation was recognized as too late. "The man seems to act prominently after a cat bite, but unfortunately did not get the vaccine until it's too late," said Jimmy Whitworth, an international health professor at the London News Agency Press Association.
Rabies is transmitted to humans by animals such as cats or dogs. This disease is caused by a virus that is in animal saliva – such as contact with mucous membranes or bites. Pathogens then enter the connective tissue and the muscle cells in the wound, multiply there and then migrate through nerve cells to the brain and to the heart.
