Foldi or Flex? LG can also have a cell phone that can be folded in the process

Latest update (2018-11-27):

Leaking patents show how LG folding phones can look like

Previously, we had seen the possibility of this folding idea name from LG. Now there is a new leaked image about what can be a folding smart phone. Dutch Let 's Go Digital reported that LG, on October 23 and November 20, submitted two new patents on this folding cellphone which, if released at all, appeared to be a direct competitor of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy F.

The images in the patent application show phone chassis that cannot be inherently folded but which, on the other hand, has a flexible screen at the back, which then folds out to form tablet mode.

Patents also noticed that LG folding phones can get two cameras on both sides of the device to take 3D images. At present, patents are only registered in South Korea and, as usual, patents do not guarantee that we can really see the cellphone in reality, but at least an interesting insight into LG's plans.

Foldi or Flex? LG can also have a cell phone that can be folded in the process

Maybe the upcoming folding Samsung Galaxy can get competition – from LG. Korean companies have applied to register the name Flex, Foldi and Duplex at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), writes the Dutch website Letsgodigital.

Names are categorized in ninth grade, which includes smart phones. And just judging by those names, it undoubtedly sounds like something that fits the folding telephone.

Not least, Samsung has placed foldable cellphones in the wallet again with the upcoming Galaxy F, and even though the registered names have no evidence that LG folding phones really come, Samsung seems to be able to compete in the area in the future.
