A police patrol at Uppsala was contacted by a woman who told her that she had got her cellphone stolen in the pub on Sunday night. The police took the woman with them and went to a place where they found the suspect. He turned out to have a woman's telephone – as well as seven other cellphones and cash withdrawal cards that were not his.
The man, who was in his 20s, was arrested and then arrested by prosecutors who were suspected of heavy theft at several Uppsala restaurants.
Now it remains for the police to match seven other calls with those who are missing.
