The city had to import and install the Christmas tree in advance.

The Christmas tree is on Friday's main square in Bratislava. It is a 30-year-tall tall 14 m tall spruce and the town was handled by the town of Rača. For TASR, spokesman of Zuzana Onufer of Bratislava said that he would decorate the tree before opening the Christmas market, which begins on 23 November and ends on December 22.

The city had to move and plant the Christmas tree in advance, because this year the Christmas Market in the Old Town begins in the neighboring Hviezdoslav Square in front of the city on November 16th. So the city could no longer carry the tree to Main Square at a later date.
