Liverpool are planning a Bundesliga attack for the pair to survive £ 90 million

Liverpool are planning a double attack in the Bundesliga for two new center-backs, while AC Milan is keen on getting Tottenham’s former record signing, according to Sunday transfer rumors.

LEIPZIG DUO CLOPP TARGET

Liverpool reportedly targeting a January double transfer for pair RB Leipzig Dayot upamecano and Ibrahima Konate.

The Reds are desperate for a new center-back after first-choice pair Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are likely to be sidelined for the remainder of the season through injury.

Jurgen Klopp has so far used Joel Matip, Fabinho, Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams at the heart of the Reds defense in their absence.

But according to picture, as quoted by Sunday on Sunday, Klopp is looking to his German homeland for a potential solution to his problem.

Upamecano is widely regarded as one of the hottest young properties in Europe after its emergence last season.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been linked with the 22-year-old, but he has opted to stay on for the summer, signing new contracts until 2023.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also considered interested, but Liverpool’s desperation has seen them emerge as favorites.

But picture also claims that Konate is on their wish list too.

The French colleague is also part of Julian Nagelsmann’s three defenders at Leipzig, with the 21-year-old lasso still under contract until 2023.

Indeed, Bundesliga expert Christian Falk is convinced Liverpool will see Konate as a more affordable option.

Transfermarkt shows the pair’s combined value of around £ 90 million – with a reported £ 54 million release clause for Upamecano.
