Football: De Bruyne blows Manchester City as a star for six weeks excluded, Football News & Top Stories

LONDON (AFP) – Kevin De Bruyne is up to six weeks after the Manchester City star suffered a lousy injury on Thursday (November 1st) in the struggle against Fulham.

De Bruyne crashed at Etihad Stadium at the end of the City's 2: 1 victory after embarrassingly knocking down Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

A 27-year-old Friday study showed that injury to the left knee was severe enough to not be able to resume mid-December, although no surgery was required.

But Bruyne has recently come back from another knee problem that has missed two months this season and the Belgian international game was determined five times.

City manager Pep Guardiola said he trusts that De Bruyne will come back despite the desperate progress.

"We are sad and no one loves the injured players, but he will return to the player and he will be fine," he said at the Spanish Friday press conference. "Yesterday (Kevin) was so sad, but this time he could spend the new boy and his family."

The absence of Premier League leaders for a great time, ahead of De Bruyne's Champions League matches, Manchester derby and Chelsea.

"Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has become harmless in the lungs on his left knee on Thursday night at the Carabao Cup's fourth round against Fulham," City said.

"Belgian Friday was searched in CFA, no surgery needed, but it is expected to be in 5-6 weeks."
