Our opinion
The original story, by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann, originated in 1816. That's right Nutcracker and Rat King. In 1844, Alexandre Dumas wrote a different version, which later became one ballet dance the most famous in the world. Today, Disney studios are leaning, in their own way, on this fantastic Christmas story. As soon as Clara enters this parallel world, it is a color firework that appears on the screen. Attractiveness, very much the set and costumes are magnificent. It's like Alice in Wonderland, with all these strange characters, a little crazy, sometimes charming, sometimes scary.
A long classic dance scene is a moment of pure grace, temporarily the attack of the soldiers from Mother Ginger is extraordinary creativity. This film, however, wants to be very original and magical which sometimes loses its originality and fairy tales. If Disney magic doesn't work as much as we expected, the course of a female hero we move all the same. Clara struggled to find the key, too bring peace to the four kingdoms. But he also fought for himself, to overcome the pain of losing his mother. What's jealous to love his parents always stronger!
