YouTube began producing original content last year and, so far, YouTube is only available to YouTube Premium customers (formerly known as YouTube Red). However, by 2020, the plan is different and includes offering original films and series to everyone free of charge.
Changes were announced yesterday (27) and meant that anyone who accessed YouTube could consume films and series produced by the company without even paying a monthly fee. In this case, the video will be monetized and viewers will watch several advertisements during playback, as it currently does for non-customers.
"When we saw 2019, we will continue to invest in programming and script changes so that YouTube Originals is ad-supported to meet the growing demand for a more global fan base," the company said in a statement.

Despite mentioning next year, his party Reuters ensure that YouTube refers to content produced in 2019 and will air only in 2020. This also means that previously released programs such as the "Cobra Kai" series, inspired by the classic "Karate Kid", will remain available only to YouTube customers.
At present, Premium is available in 29 countries and in Brazil it costs R $ 20.90. In addition to accessing original content, this allows you to download videos, sudden displays, and access to the YouTube Music catalog.
