The construction of section S5 from Radomicka to Leszno costs PLN 443 million. The implementation is co-funded from EU funds.
This section has two lines in each direction, but with reserves for the construction of the third line. Two crossroads were established in the S5 section mentioned above: Święciechowa and Leszno Zachód.
The entire S5 motorway will be passed by the end of 2019. There are three parts under construction:
- Poznań – Wronczyn (16.5 km) – available for traffic planned in 2018.
- Wronczyn – Kościan South (18.9 km) – completed in the second half of 2019.
- Kościan South – Radomicko (15.7 km) – completed in the second half of 2019.

Finally, the S5 motorway must be 360 km long. This will connect the A8 motorway at the Wrocław intersection of Północ (from there, a stone's throw to the A4 highway), with the A1 highway at the Nowe Marzy intersection near Grudziądz. This will work, among other things, around Bydgoszcz and Poznań (here intersect with A2). Especially around the capital city of Wielkopolska is one of the busiest places on the Polish road map.
