The Scriptures today
"… he who starts a good work in you will bring it to completion on the day of Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 1: 6, NIV)
He works at you
Sometimes when God does work in our lives, it can begin to feel a little uncomfortable. We may face people who have difficulty getting along or having circumstances that seem out of our control. When this happens, instead of complaining, getting sour or trying to change everything around you, why don't you look deep? Say, "Lord, thank you for doing work in me." Look, I have learned that God is more interested in changing me than He is in changing my situation. If I choose to stay sour because I don't get my way or despair because things don't happen on my schedule, it will keep me in my place.
If you want to see change, if you want to see God open a new door, the key is to bloom where you plant. You can't wait until everything gets better before you decide to be nice. You must be the best so you can be where you are. When you flower where you plant, you allow God to work in you, and He will be faithful to complete what He started in you!
Prayer for Today
"My God, thank you for doing the work inside me. I choose to adjust to your plan by blooming where I plant. Help me, with your Spirit, to be an example of love and your life wherever I go in the name of Jesus. Amen. "
