Belgian Paralympics ended life through euthanasia at the age of 40



Belgian Paralympic champion Marieke Vervoort ended her life through euthanasia at the age of 40 on Tuesday (October 22), Belgian media reported. Euthanasia is legal in Belgium and the pointy-haired athlete announces her intention after the 2016 Rio Olympics to follow that path if her worsening conditions worsen her suffering. But he said at the time that exercise had given him a reason to stay alive.
