A beta UI appears for some users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 key

We have good news for US owners. Unlocking the Samsung Galaxy Note 9: It seems that Samsung has opened a UI UI. One UI is Samsung's rebranding of the Samsung Experience 10 and is based on Android Pie. It features massive UI improvements with emphasis on one easy-to-use hand and a system-wide dark theme. The One UI beta program is available for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + in France, Germany, Korea, the United States and other regions. Samsung hasn't officially announced the beta program for the Galaxy Note 9, so we were surprised when we received some tips about beta available for some Note 9 owners in the US.

Members of XDA Nochlab1 and CrazyApe18 on our affiliated SamCentral Discord server told us that Samsung has now let users of the US Galaxy Note 9 enter the UI One UI. Nochlab1 won the latest Samsung + APK and shared screenshots below that show the registration screen for One UI beta. If you open a US Galaxy 9 Note (SM-N960U1) or are willing to flash into the firmware, you might be able to register yourself.

So far, we have seen that both Sprint and Verizon users who run firmware U1 can register for the beta program. It is possible that other operators will be supported soon, but for now, only firmware that is not locked seems to be able to register. We should note that, of the 3 users who informed us that registration is now available, no one actually received the update. If you don't want to wait for updates, we have a guide on how to officially update the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to one of the leaked beta versions of UI.

Samsung has never had a beta program to line-up their Galaxy Note, so this is an interesting development. For users who spend hundreds (or even more than one thousand) US dollars for Samsung's flagship product, you can also experience the latest Samsung software. If you want to check to see if registration is available on your device, download the latest Samsung + application and check the banner at the top.

The official Android Pie update for the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 +, and Galaxy Note 9 is scheduled for January 2019. We will notify you during live broadcasts, or if beta is expanded to more owners Note 9 in other regions. For owners of Note 9 in other regions, you need the latest Samsung Member application rather than Samsung +.
