MANILA – The Philippine Army (PA) honors and bestows six stars who were newly promoted during the flag-raising ceremony at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Monday.
Promoted to Major General is Brig. General Roy T. Devesa and Brig. General Cirilito E. Sobejana, head of the Training and Doctrine Command and the 6th Infantry Division, respectively.
Meanwhile, the other four people who were promoted to Brigadier General were Colonel Thomas R. Sedano, from the II Mechanical Infantry Brigade, the Mechanical Infantry Division; Colonel William N. Gonzales, commander, First Scout Ranger Regiment, Special Operations Command; Colonel Larry B. Mojica, head, Brigade 902, 9th Infantry Division; and Colonel Francisco Ariel A. Felicidario, commander, 102nd Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division.
"When you start another chapter in your military career and enjoy the honor and pride that comes from your star, you must remember that from that star, exudes greater responsibility and a higher level of expectation and leadership standards". Apparently, it will also require greater sacrifice from us and even our families, "PA chairman Lieutenant General Macairog Alberto said in his speech.
"I want to congratulate you not only for your achievements, but also for your integrity, resources, enthusiasm and wisdom. "Only a few became brigadier generals, and fewer became great generals and maybe fewer became successful generals, I hope you are fewer generals who succeed," he added
