"Some of the best things I've done in my life seem to be at the time like an insurmountable challenge; reporting from conflicts around the world, or some of the biggest natural disasters in the world. Or even running marathons and competing in multi-sport events. Dance with NZ Stars feels like one of those challenges – but maybe with a cupboard that's a little more glamorous. "
Reality star and winner Bachelor in 2015, Matilda Rice will also join McRoberts on the dance floor.
"I've watched Dance with the Starssince i was a kid so i don't believe i will now be in it! It's a little scary to learn something new on national television, but I like to dance, so I'm really excited about this challenge, "he said.
MediaWorks also stressed that TV host Kanoa Lloyd would get his own program titled Move with Kanoa, where he will follow Kiwis to move house.
"There are so many hidden gems throughout our country and I can't wait to meet families hanging around looking for them. I'm also quite curious – so I'll enjoy the opportunity to see how people live – maybe I'll get some tips for decorating my own home ? " he says.
