WhatsApp: Now choose a different background for each conversation

On WhatsApp you can now choose a background for each individual conversation. Various backgrounds and animated stickers are also available.

WhatsApp has always been a pretty tough messaging service, if you compare it to Messenger’s colorful look or Telegram’s many customization options. However, the popular messaging service is catching up a bit. You can now choose a custom background for each conversation, reports TechCrunch.

It has been possible to set the background on WhatsApp for some time, but it doesn’t allow for every conversation yet. If you want to change the background, tap in the conversation at the top right of the menu with three dots then on ‘Background’ and ‘Change’. You can then choose from a wider selection of WhatsApps standard backgrounds or choose your own image. You can then choose to make the background exclusive to conversations with that person, but there’s also the option to use it for chats when you switch your phone to a dark theme.

This is a sticker about working from home and staying in touch with your friends from a distance. There are now also sticker search engines to help you find what you need.

All of these new WhatsApp features are rolling out to a stable version from now on after being first available to a small group of WhatsApp Beta users. Have you seen the stickers and backgrounds? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
