Season 17 of Grey’s Anatomy will have characters back, but who?
We recently told you that the return of another flagship character has been announced in the promo video for episode 4 of season 17 of Grey’s Anatomy, and waiting for the episode to air it is time to wonder who it is. Yes, season premieres The Shonda Rhimes series surprises fans by bringing back Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), but now we know that he’s not the only one back. This means Meredith’s health can continue to deteriorate, but other visitors can help her revive her and not give up.
Even if we want to see Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) again, it seems unlikely that she will return because of the missing people Meredith found in her “dream”. That’s why we tend to bet on another significant other’s return for Meredith: her younger sister Lexie (Chyler Leigh). The young woman died in a famous plane crash that happened some time ago at Grey’s Anatomy, but we know that her absence is still felt by many characters and especially Meredith. With optimism and enthusiasm for life, Lexie can remind Meredith that she still has many reasons to live and not to go looking for Derek even though she wants to see him again.
Another character we can look back on is George. Very close to Meredith before his death, George has always been a wise friend and now, and we already know that seeing him again will make Meredith very happy. Finally, the third person who can appear while Meredith is between life and death is her mother, Ellis.. Despite the complicated relationship between the 2 women, Ellis had always had a huge influence on Meredith, and she was clearly never afraid to tell him the hard stuff. If Meredith needs to be reminded not to let herself die to find Derek, then her mother could be the one to do it. But while waiting to find out who will actually return, find out why the intrigue about the coronavirus in season 17 of Grey’s Anatomy could have such an impact on the United States.
