Food Safety: Chair of Morocco Arab and African Parliament Networks


Parliamentary networks for food security in Africa and the Arab world were made this Thursday in Rabat, while his presidency was entrusted to the Moroccan Advisory Council. The formation of this network, announced on the sidelines of an international seminar on experience of national reconciliation, held on 17 and 18 January, was part of the implementation of the final communique adopted by the Shura Council, Senate and similar councils from Africa and the Arab world, at the end of the forum African parliamentary economies and the Arab world, held on April 25 and 26 by the Advisory Council, in partnership with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The latter creation is based on studies and scientific studies that have shown that the world will experience, in the next 50 years, a lack of food products and many obstacles to achieving growth in the field, related to drought, water scarcity, floods, desertification and the spread of diseases and epidemics caused by climate change.

The formation of this network is also based on the commitment of the presidents and parliamentarians at the World Parliament Summit against Hunger and Malnutrition, which was held on 29 and 30 October in Spain, which reaffirmed the right to adequate food and nutrition. healthy and eliminate hunger.
