Coronavirus in Morocco: 3,508 new cases in 24 hours, 69 deaths


3,508 new cases of contamination, 4,902 recoveries and 69 deaths due to Covid-19. These are the figures announced late Tuesday by the Ministry of Health. The Casablanca-Settat and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra regions are the most affected.

A total of 3,308 new cases of coronavirus infection and 4,902 recoveries have been recorded in the past 24 hours in Morocco, the Health Ministry announced on Monday.

The new report brings to 359,844 the total number of contaminations, since the first cases were reported last March, and 310,193 people who have fully recovered, i.e. a cure rate of 86.2%, the ministry said in its daily bulletin on the Covid-19 situation.

The number of deaths rose to 5,915, with 69 new cases recorded within 24 hours, a case fatality rate of 1.6%.
