Along with "King Mandopop" in the lead role, the action film has several Chinese financing partners, including the Jackie Chan film banner.

Taiwanese pop star actor Jay Chou works with Vin Diesel to become a star in the fourth installment to come from xXx franchise, which will be directed by D.J. Caruso.

Known as the "King of the Mandopop", Chou is a big attraction throughout Asia as a pop signer and loved personality. However, US viewers will know him very well because of the transition to acting in features like The Green Hornet with Seth Rogen, or in the action comedy Jon Chu Now You See Me 2.

"This is a very interesting film that makes me very happy to join," Chou said in a statement.

xXx 4 will be produced and funded by the mini studio The H Collective, with support from investment partners including Jack Chan's Sparkle Roll Media, iQiyi Pictures, Dadi Huarui, Star League Media and Fulcrum Management Co.

Together with Vin Diesel and One Race Films Banner, The H Collective obtained the rights to the xXx franchise from Revolution Studios earlier this year.

The participation of large Chinese investments in this film is not surprising given that xXx: Return of Xander Cage generated $ 168 million from a total of $ 346 million worldwide in China's box office last year. Thank you for Fast and furious franchise, Diesel is one of the most famous Hollywood stars in the Middle Kingdom.

"We are very excited to be able to work on the fourth edition of xXx, which has always been a fun, action-packed global franchise," said CEO of The H Collective Nic Crawley. "We are looking to build a comprehensive international player and introduce bold new characters that must have a long life in the advanced franchise."

Chinese actress Zoe Zhang (Chinese Zodiac), Jackie Chan's frequent collaborator, has also joined film international players.

Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum produced with Diesel and Samantha Vincent for Race One Film. The film is scheduled to begin filming in 2019.
