For twelve consecutive years, the city of Waldorf has contributed a mild picture to the school community moving into more space. On Friday night, the lamp installation was lit on the east side of the island of Nemunas.
According to event organizers, Kaunas Waldorf Jurgita Žebrauskienė school art teacher teacher, the change in place was partly due to the reconstruction of Aleksotas Hill. "If we continue to want to make images of light, we have to do it on the beach. But there is a very strong wind blowing there, several times we tried. Therefore, we began to look for new space," said the teacher.
The new place dictates a new expression of the holiday – a design made from wooden stands, decorated with lights by children. "We try to make projects as little as possible for adults – children do everything for themselves. Through technology lessons, they produce designs, and during art lessons we develop lights," said J. Žebrauskienė.

The school community celebrates the Lantern Festival every year, but in 2005 it was planned to include residents of Kaunas who could enjoy light paintings on the slopes of Aleksotas. Over the years, the temple has shone on the mountain. Jurgis, butterflies, snakes, sun, Vytis, winch, angel, fire eyes. Last year, the painting was made to commemorate the Year of the Mound.
"The island is quite closed. Maybe it is possible to see the installation of Aleksotas Bridge, but the purpose of this year's vacation in the room is to feel comfortable with each other," said J. Žebrauskienė.
In the light, the school community eats tea with cakes, plays drums and dances on fire.
