Celebrating a hundred years of Latvia, the 800-year-old Cornet Castle will be lit on the island of Guernsey on Sunday, November 18, in the colors of the Latvian flag, informing the Latvian Honorary Consul on Guernsey island Lilita Krūze.

About 2,000 Latvians live on Guernsey.

Flowers will light up at 17:00 local time.

Cornet Castle was built on a small island off the coast of Guernsey shortly after the Channel Islands belonged to the British crown to ensure the protection of the port of Guernsey.
