The construction plan envisages the construction of a new shopping center on an undeveloped plot of land covering approximately 14.4 hectares, Smaidu Street in Dreiliņi, Stopiņi District, which will be separated from a larger plot of land as a result of the detailed plan. The shopping center complex will consist of two separate buildings – the main building, as well as a garden supply store building.
The main building is planned to be built as high as one to four floors, the main function of which is a retail building with a separate group of rooms for other supporting functions – catering, sports, entertainment and offices. The second building is designed to be one floor high, its function – a retail building (garden supply store). The estimated total floor area of the two buildings is approximately 59,000 square meters.
In addition, the construction plan envisages the acquisition of an entire plot of land by building the necessary infrastructure for a shopping center – engineering network entrances, parking lots for central customers and staff, internal roads and supply areas, as well as complex landscaping and landscaping.
Considering that the planned object is a public building of regional importance with a large number of visitors and its construction solution must be completed by the complex with the development and operation of several adjacent undeveloped and already constructed areas, the municipality of Stopiņi on 27 June 2018 issued a detailed work plan for the development of the unit land at 18 Smaidu Street, Dreiliņi, Stopiņi municipality.
The current owner of 29 hectares of land is the owner of the IKEA SIA supermarket “Verus Preadium Latvija”. According to the purchase agreement registered on the Land Register, the developer of the “Riga Retail Park” shopping center has purchased a plot of land which can be projected to be separated in July 2018, but according to the terms of the purchase agreement, the plot will become the full property of Riga Retail Park only after detailed planning. power and real separation of the plot.
Riga Retail Park has signed a joint design service agreement with JSC UPB for planning, construction design and construction services for the construction of shopping centers.
