DKI Provincial Government Undur Bus Operation Hours, Prevent Civil Servants Coming Home Early

Many civil servants have queued for absences before 16.00.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta issued a bus policy that is used for employees returning from work backwards from 16.00 WIB to 19.00 WIB.

"So starting today the buses depart at seven in the evening for those who want to go home early, please take public transportation," said DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan at the Jakarta City Hall on Monday (11/19).

The bus provided by the DKI Provincial Government is actually intended to transport employees who work extra hours, he said. The governor explained that last week he had discussed the problem of returning home from the DKI Provincial Government bus. It is estimated that there are 1,900 employees using provincial government buses. The bus always goes home at 16.00 WIB.

"Many of our employees hurry home if already four o'clock. In 'finger print"(the machine is absent) the line is there to go home immediately because the culture comes home at four in the afternoon," Anies said.

He questioned why government transportation facilities were actually used for those who rushed home early, while those with longer jobs could not get vehicle facilities. Anies received complaints from the heads of offices, because the employee at 3:30 a.m. WIB was ready to go home.

"Governor, at half past four, my men have all packed up, at four o'clock it's already in place 'finger print' it's four o'clock teng go straight to the bus straight home. So it's not a good work attitude, "Anies said.

Related to this, through loudspeakers it was announced that starting on 19 November the hours returned from the provincial bus at 19.00 West Indonesia Time, while at the beginning of December 2019 the hours of the bus return were at 20:00 WIB.
