MG Motor's second product for India will be the so-called electric SUV – MG ZS EV. The vehicle will make its official debut on the upcoming 5th December and launch will take place in January 2020. Car makers will start accepting pre-orders for new electric vehicles from the opening day which is 5th December, 2019.
Initially, MG ZS EV will be launched in 5 selected cities, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. It is estimated that it costs between Rs 22 lakh – Rs 25 lakh and competes with the Hyundai Kona EV.
Synchronous motor with a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack
will function as a resource for MG ZS EV. Claimed to return range
300km on a single charge. The electric motor will produce peak power of 141bhp
against 353Nm of torque.
Customers will be able to charge fees of up to 80% in 40 minutes through a 50kW DC charger which will be installed in various cities. The British car maker will set up a charging network with Fortum India in 5 of the country's major cities. The MG ZS EV battery will also support a standard 7kW charger. It takes 7 hours to be fully charged through a standard power socket.

Some of its main features will include an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto support, Bluetooth connectivity, mobile USB chargers on the front and rear, flat-bottom steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, panoramic sunroof, rear view parking camera and more.
