Hyundai Motors has exhibited a top end variant called the Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition in 2018 Sao Paulo Auto Show in Brazil. This is present at the exhibition along with other Hyundai models.
Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition is positioned above Prestige trim in Brazil. This is a limited edition SUV and will be viewed with a total of 200 updates and features along with new technology and engine options.
Exterior updates on the Creta Diamond Edition include the new metallic Blue color scheme, beautiful sun roof, black roof, mirror and rear spoiler. Exclusive to the Diamond Edition will also be a shark fin antenna, a large black rear spoiler along with an expanded rear air deflector and LED flashlight. The interior also received updates in the form of a new color scheme with chairs worked in ivory and light caramel chocolate. The same color scheme continues to the dashboard, door panel and steering wheel.
Hyundai Creta engine specifications are also different in Brazil compared to Creta sold in India. This includes a 2.0-liter flexible gasoline / ethanol engine that offers 156 PS power and 184 Nm of torque when running gasoline while in ethanol, power and torque rises to 166PS and 201 Nm. This machine is attached to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The new Hyundai Creta was launched in India in May 2018 with several updates compared to previous partners. It received a larger cascading front grille, a new bumper design, silver skid plates and a new mist housing. The upper end of the SX (O) variant is now seen with an electric sunroof and cruise control.
There is no confirmation on the date whether the Hyundai Creta Diamond Edition will be launched in India. However, if it is, it will be placed above the SX (O) trim. SX (O) at a price of Rs 18.40 lakh while Diamond Edition can get a price tag of around Rs 20 lakh (on-road). In India, Hyundai Creta competes with the Jeep Compass and will soon be launched by Tata Harrier.
