BMW M presents a powerful model variant of the arrival of the Spring 2019 Series 3 Sedan. The BMW M340i x-drive sedan is powered by a newly developed six-cylinder engine with 374 hp. Sporty characters are highlighted by the design and special features of the model. The place for the world premiere of the M340i x-Drive sedan is the Los Angeles Auto Show (30 November – 9 December 2018). The launch will begin in the US in April 2019. Europe will follow in July.
Controlled exhaust system – Damper for striking sound

In addition to the M sports suspension, the variable sport steering system, the M sports differential, the M sports brake system, and the 18-inch M alloy wheels with mixed tires are part of the standard equipment. The Saloon completes bursts of silence to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.4 seconds – and thus half a second faster than the top models from the previous generation BMW 3 Series Sedan. Steptronic 8-speed transmission with Launch Control is used for this purpose.
The flap controlled exhaust system is intended to produce striking sound in a mode that can be activated via the switch driving experience Sport und Sport +. The two-track exhaust system is also equipped with two Otto particle filters. Series 3 complies with the Euro 6d-Temp emission standard. Their combined fuel consumption is 7.5 liters per 100 kilometers, with CO2 emissions of 172 grams per kilometer.
The M340i smart all-wheel drive has a fully distributed power distribution between the front and rear axles. Transmission targeted to the rear wheels to increase agility when turning bends.
M differential sports and mixed tires

As a standard, BMW is equipped with an M-Sport differential that is fully varied and electronically controlled. The Sedan Series 3 chassis has been optimized in terms of weight and stiffness. In addition to lowering vehicles with 10 millimeters and M-specific elastokinematics, the standard M sports suspension also includes innovative stroke dampers. Optionally, the adaptive M suspension is available with electronically controlled dampers.
The M-sports braking system, also standard, includes four piston piston-fixed brakes and 348 millimeter discs on the front axle and one brake-box with 345 millimeter discs on the rear axle. The standard 18-inch M alloy wheels are combined with mixed tires. Optional extras include 19-inch M alloy wheels in two versions and BMW-19-inch lightweight alloy wheels, which are also equipped with mixed tires.
