Munich – Just over three years ago there was a TV presenter Anne Will (53) and Miriam Meckel (52) seal their love with a registered civil partnership. Two successful women are seen as a lesbian model couple – but now they announce: "We have separated."
This was announced by two women on Monday in a statement available, including, dpa news agency. In addition, the old couple only wrote: "We will not explain further and ask to respect our privacy." The sentence is signed with both names: Anne Will and Miriam Meckel. The time or reason for their separation is left open.

ARD Talkerin and communication scientist, who is also the publisher of the magazine "Ada", has for many years been considered a leading lesbian couple. Anne Will announced in 2007 that she was with Miriam Meckel, who works at the University of St. Gallen as director of the Institute of Media Management and Communication. On August 19, 2016, the two signed a registered civil partnership in Düsseldorf.

Miriam Meckel is known by most Germans as the life partner of TV presenter Anne Will. From 2006 to 2007, Miriam Meckel moderated the "Miriam Meckel – Standpunkte" business talk on the German news channel n-tv. When Meckel published a book about "Letters to My Life" that went up in flames (2010), communication scientists drew an analysis of his life. However, the author does not reveal much about her partner, Anne Will. Miriam Meckel sparked a debate with her autobiographical book which burned down.

In the previous week's ARD talks went right into the cause: CDU Secretary General Paul Ziemiak and Juso CEO Kevin Kühnert offered the slugfest. The latter also announced violence against Angela Merkel. Once again, a week before, "Anne Will" was all about Thuringian elections.
