A mass grave of 200 bodies was found in Ethiopia

Abidjan, Nov 09 (AIP) – Ethiopian Police in
Thursday found a mass grave containing 200 bodies near the intermediate border
Somalia and Oromia.

According to local media, public graves are
found during the investigation into alleged atrocities committed by Abdi
Mohammed, former president of Somalia.

Abidjan, Nov 09 (AIP) – Ethiopian Police in
Thursday found a mass grave containing 200 bodies near the intermediate border
Somalia and Oromia.

According to local media, public graves are
found during the investigation into alleged atrocities committed by Abdi
Mohammed, former president of Somalia.

Muhammad, who was awaiting trial for stirring
Ethnic dispute, was forced to resign in August and was arrested several weeks
then after the outbreak of violence in the regional capital, Jijiga.

He was also accused of overseeing human rights
violations, including torture, rape and murder during the 13 years of his rule.

Last month, state radio reported him
had tried to escape while in police custody, trying to escape through him
cell window before his appearance in court.

Also, regional security forces are known as
Liyu police, accused of murder in the area between Somali
and the Oromia region, which reports directly to the regional president.

The police tried to identify 200 people
