"The numbers surrounding prostate cancer are important and increasing, and today many men may suffer from this disease, even without realizing it. For this reason, we have decided to make this campaign, because we are trying to raise awareness and make men and women aware about the key to detecting disease in time, "said Andrés López, Access Manager for Astellas Farma Colombia.

The campaign aims to extend the invitation for men over the age of 40 to undergo two individual checks to detect prostate cancer in a timely manner: prostate-specific antigen testing and digital rectal examination, to detect any signs or symptoms in time; and women to look after their husbands, parents, friends or relatives, accompanying them in this process

Those who want to be part of the campaign, can do so through their social networks with the hashtag # ProstateTuPriority, where they can share opinions, stories, or send messages of support to those who suffer from illness. United for the same purpose: saving more lives thanks to early detection, proof that all Colombians "Together for the same purpose" can achieve extraordinary results.

Remember that October is dedicated to breast cancer, where Profamilia, through the "Tocarte es cuidarte" campaign, calls for women, through self-care and education, to raise awareness about prevention of breast cancer. breast cancer and know what are the early detection methods that can help them find or detect possible diseases.
