La Guajira will produce wind energy for the country of Ecology

The National Environmental Permit Authority (ANLA) delivered the first license for wind energy generation to the project & # 39; Alpha Wind Generation & # 39; which will be developed at La Guajira.

Rodrigo Suárez Castaño, director of ANLA, stressed that the project would operate with 65 wind turbines or turbines and electric substations that will collect energy from wind farms and then connect to the national transmission system.

The ANLA Director stated that the license was delivered with indigenous peoples support which is in the village of Limoncito in the municipality of Maicao.

This is the first wind energy project in which ANLA participates and, currently, processes other environmental license applications for two wind and energy projects three solar energy.

According to commitments made by President Iván Duque in & # 39; Country of Building & # 39; in Uribia where he believes that it will increase the participation of Non-Conventional Renewable Energy in the country by at least 10%, 10 projects of the same type must be made.
