10 years after it was launched, WhatsApp announced the inactivity of instant messaging on several cellphone models no later than January 2019.
Because of constant updates and new application functions, successful technology companies report that the model is operating system Android 2.3.7 or earlier and iPhone that iOS 7
"Because we no longer develop functions for this operating system, some functions may stop working at any time," the company explained on a frequently asked questions page.
Since 2016, the instant messaging company announced which models are not available for applications due to the termination of the operating system.
"When we started WhatsApp in 2009, the cellphone was completely different from what is today," the company explained in its official blog.
WhatsApp recommends users to buy an Android, iPhone or Windows Phone.
The most affected devices are Nokia Symbian S60, BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Windows Phone 8.0.
Currently compatible systems are:
-Roid 4.0 or slow
-iPhone with iOS 8 or slow
-Windows phone with an operating system 8.1 or slow and with JioPhone and JioPhone 2
