Viña del Mar has not signed a contract with a translator
SANTIAGO DE CHILE (Notimex) .- Still the uncertainty of Luis Miguel's final performance at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, which began on February 24, was reported yesterday by the international press.
The main difference between production and artist will be the television transmission of "Sol" shows that will be offered at Quinta Vergara, as well as doubts about the quality of recent recitals.
The source of the Festival's organization shows that "the recruitment of artists for the next edition of Viña del Mar is underway, there are already a number of ready whose names will be known in the coming days to start ticket sales".
Before the consultation if Luis Miguel was among them, the source said that "names will be known soon, are negotiating with some artists some issues which can be complicated, such as international broadcasts from their shows, but that is something Viña del Mar doesn't accept, the whole program is broadcast on television. "
Without mentioning Mexican artists, they noted that "there are some negotiations that are more complicated than others, which take longer than others, where there are some special requests from artists, but we work to have the best performances in February."
In practice, the Viña del Mar Festival is a television program broadcast for six nights from a spa located 120 kilometers northwest of Santiago, so all performances by artists are broadcast in Chile and other countries.
According to the newspaper "La Tercera", organizers of the Viña del Mar Festival put a "pause" in negotiations with Luis Miguel, too, after he began showing "serious problems in his show" in Mexico.
They mentioned that an agreement between the producer and singer "froze and stopped" and even some of them traveled to Mexico to watch the recent Luis Miguel show to assess whether he was able to participate in the contest.
