The government explains again that it will not eliminate or reduce compensation for years of service | National

After criticism that emerged from the Central Unitaria de Trabajadores and other multi-unions, the Government came out again to clarify doubts about changes that could be compensated for years or contract periods.

The Minister of Labor, Nicolás Monckeberg, denied that this regulation was removed or reduced, although he insisted on the need to implement a second proposal, similar to compensation for any event, in the next Labor Reformation project. The Executive idea is that workers can decide between the two options.

Discussions around this point have been discussed in the latest technical roundtables developed by Executives with experts and lawyers; and in the second example with multigremial, even without CUT participation led by Barbara Figueroa.

At the end of the meeting held this morning with a portfolio of work, Segundo Steilen, president of the National Union of Workers (UNT) indicated that The aim, for now, is to readjust the reforms of the previous administration and not to address issues that require further discussion.

Manuel Agosín, dean of the University of Chile's Faculty of Economics and Business and expert panel member, considered the discussion to make a second proposal to compensate for years of complex service.

Doctors increase their needs first strengthening aspects of training, labor mobility and, in particular, current unemployment insurance.

However, Government claims continue to be an increase in unemployment insurance benefits, to consider changes to the compensation system, which will be discussed at meetings scheduled for Thursday and Friday next week.
