Mota-Engil awarded the project for more than US $ 232 million in Peru in 2018 | this is Economy | Company


Mota-Engil, a Portuguese construction group present in Europe, Africa and eight Latin American countries: Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, Brazil, Aruba and the Dominican Republic, were awarded projects for more than US $ 232 million in Operation Peru during 2018 .

This award is in accordance with 10 projects such as: the construction of the Vizcachas dam and Bocatoma Titire (AngloAmerican); construction of Phase 4 of the Las Bambas Mining Tailings Dam elevation; Bulk Earthworks at Mina Justa (Marcobra); and Paracas Port Terminal (Puerto General San Martín), among others.

For the awarding of contracts on the Peruvian market, the recent issuance of a certificate of investment project fiduciary certificate (CERPI), by a group subsidiary in Mexico, amounts to US $ 150 million. The Investment Fund resources will be used to finance projects in various sectors and Latin American countries.

Ricardo Camelo, General Manager of Mota Engil Peru, said that the CERPI Fund would allow Mota Engil Peru to invest in the future to help fund reconstruction, health and education projects, among others.
