A lion attacked and killed a young American woman who worked at a zoo in North Carolina, the Conservator Center announced on Sunday.
Alexandra Black, 22, is very fond of wild animals and has spent 10 days interning at the Conservation Center in Burlington, North Carolina.
"The Conservator's center was destroyed by loss, today, of human life." While the team led by professional tutors perform routine cleaning of the cat's cage, one of the lions managed to escape from where he was locked up and entered the space where humans were and quickly killed someone ", said the Center in a statement.
"The way the lions leave the cage is still unknown until now. The lion never left the closed perimeter of the park," the center reported, expressing condolences to the families of the victims and announcing that the park would be temporarily closed.
To restore the young woman's body, Zoo workers kill lions after shooting, convinced the center, the El País newspaper from Spain reported.
"We need to evaluate our situation very seriously and we must ensure that everyone, workers and visitors are safe and secure because this is very scary," said Mindy Stinner, the center's executive director.
Alexandra Black recently graduated from Indiana University. The zoo where he started working accommodates 71 animals from 21 species, including 15 lions, although it is not yet certain whether the dead animals are male or female.
